There's sprints and then there's sprints. This last week forced us to reckon with time and the need for iteration, as we continued on the concept of rapid prototyping and ideation.
You took a crash course in landing pages as an avenue of digital marketing, and you used visual communication concepts and brand design theory to polish a wireframe, in just under a week. More than that, you provided design direction and feedback, recognizing the dearth of redundancy and finding inspiration from the ultimate variety in landing page approaches.
Epic Mission: Negative Space Invaders
While this timeline is condensed, it's reflective of time spent for many visual designers towards providing concepts for handoff. A week to build a landing page? For some this may be a blessing. Given the work that's needed to provide not only visually engaging but something that drives action, effectively converting visits, more work is needed to inform and validate these designs. For us to be sure, it should be reviewed and tested, but for today, let's put it aside. We’ve done this mission justice.
<aside> 🔖 Followup: At the conclusion of this program, you're tasked with a post-grad project. Revisiting this design, validating the work and optimizing it for mobile would be a great way to practice skills and expand your portfolio.

I am better at visual design than I thought.
Perseverance. Right from the beginning I kept saying I can do it and I did.
I surprised myself with my visual design ability this past week!
I think my strength for this project was being able to create a cohesive brand identity and voice.
I believed I followed the process, taken feedback and iterated and was able to deliver a sound product in the end.
Creative design thinking in the form of my landing page.

Building the palette of dreams, ## leveraged bright, energetic tones through imagery and illustration to bring her site to life.
Taking the dive into making birds come to life, ## was a beacon for visual theme, and a proper Figma teacher: "She helped me figure out how to add filters of photos and gave great feedback on my design."
Visual storytelling wasn't lost on ## who brought exclusivity in his brand visual style, leaving others "impressed with the visual design of Blackball Sports."
Simply put: “is that thing live?” Recognized for precision, balance in icons, content and attention to detail, ## was consistently noted for providing his polished, on-brand landing page.
A hands-down fan favorite, ## inspired others as a beacon of visual communication through use of imagery, dreamy colors and subsequent evoluation into the bold black and white page.
